After a bit of a quiet time Feel Like De Baune put the yard back in the winners enclosure under a fabulous ride by his his owner, Ben Brackenbury.  We made the long trip up to Carlisle and he made it worthwhile by running a fantastic race and keeping his nose in front to beat the previous champion jockey, Brian Hughes, on the line.  We are all so thrilled for Ben and his family who are g...

On Sunday we held our annual owners open day, where we welcome over 200 guests.  It was so lovely to see so many owners and friends here at Trafford Bridge.   The weather was really kind to us, giving us glorious sunshine all day.  The horses behaved really well and looked fabulous as they paraded in front of the owners.  Dedi Leech and her team put on a marvellous lunc...

It was Sid Hoodie's turn to bring home the crisps from Market Rasen this time.  She has only had one previous run for us since arriving from Charlie Mann, after which we though she would benefit from a wind operation.  This op obviously did the trick as she ran brilliantly to take the lead over the last to go on and win be 5 lengths.  Harry Bannister gave her a great ride and ...

Last week it was Sea Prince bringing home sticky toffee pudding from Cartmel and this week it is Say Nothing bringing home crisps and cheese from Market Rasen.   Say Nothing who has been very conistent being placed on numerous occasions, finally got her nose in front under a great ride by Kielan Woods.  She led most of the way and managed to fend off her nearest pursuers over the...

After making it halfway to Cartmel on Friday before it was called off due to waterlogging, off we set again at the crack of dawn on Sunday morning.  Sea Prince, Prabeni and Ticket To LA all made the trip up and the 400 mile round trip was well worth it in the end.  Ticket To La ran first and was very keen as she had been in her bumper.  She was up front all of the way until 3 ...

Polly Pockett went one better on her second ever run by winning at Southwell yesterday in a National Hunt Bumper under a great ride by Harry Bannister.  He led nearly all of the way and when one horse came to her coming into the last furlong she really toughed it out and held on.  She is a really exciting prospect for the future and I am sure the Edging Ahead racing club are going ...

We had a really sad evening at Uttoxeter yesterday when we lost Chead Solas.  He had not been with us for very long and was having his first run for the yard.  He took a bad fall which resulted in a broken shoulder and sadly had to be put to sleep.  Our sympathies go out to his owners, The 25 Club, he was a lovely horse with a great temperament and was quickly becoming a yard ...

Jimmi Chew made his seasonal reappearance a winning won at Huntingdon yesterday.  He was over fences this time and although he may have got four faults at a couple of fences he got there in the end, winning well.  A really good ride again by Harry Bannister and great for team Brackenbury who put so much into the sport.

With this being the first week back jumping of the new season, we have managed to clock up 1 win, 1 second and 3 thirds.  Don't Ask, after having lots of different niggles finally got his nose in front, under Harry Bannister, at Southwell on Tuesday.  He is a lovely horse but has been slightly frustrating, however he redeemed himself by getting to that number one spot for his lovel...

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the death of an owner who has been with us for over 15 years, Joan Woods.  Joan passed away yesterday and our greatest sympathy goes out to her family.   Joan was a lovely lady, always enthusiastic and loved her racing.  She has been involved with many horses over the years including Royaume Bleu, Duel At Dawn, Say Nothing an...

Well that is the end of the 2020/21 National Hunt season and what a season it has been.  We have not only achieved our highest number of winners but also our highest prize money.   With the string of horses running consistently well all season, the horses produced some amazing results.     For Pleasure has had a stand out season, starting last summer on a handica...

Last week we had runners everyday of the Aintree Festival, all of the horses ran well and all came back in one piece.   On Thursday Millers Bank ran a blinder in the Betway Hurdel to finish 3rd at odds of 80-1.  He is turning into a fabulous horse and definitely looked like a true professional against hot competition.  He has had a great season and done his owners and the ya...

What a huge thrill we had on Saturday when Bourbon Beauty took the EBF final at Newbury.  She had been feeling really well at home and looked magnificent in the paddock before the race.  We had hoped she may get a place but to come home in front was a dream.  Instructions to Harry Bannister, her usual jockey, was to jump off in front, you may end up in mid-division but she wil...

Smooth Stepper, who is a yard favourite, stormed home to win easily up at Carlisle on Sunday.  He is 12 now and qualifies for the Veterans races.  Though they are for older horses they can be very hot contests and this was not any different.  He sat mid division for most of the race and then coming to the last took the lead and in the end won by a good margin.  It was nic...

It was a busy but successful week last weeks with lots of runners which produced a couple of winners.   Omar Maretti made the trek up to Catterick and it turned out to be a successful one making it two in a row for him and Kielan.  It was a lucky win really as Harry Skelton looked to be going the better when upsides at the last, unfortunately he took a tumble and left Omar in fro...

It has been a great couple of weeks, even though the weather has not really been playing ball!  Fagan made the short trip for us down to Newbury.  It was a horrible day, with constant rain and we did wonder if the meeting would go ahead.  The going was heavy and had a lot of horses toiling but not Fagan who seemed to relish the conditions and pulled a way from the last to be a...

It was great to get back on the winners board with Millers Bank at Kempton on Saturday.  He'd had a couple of disappointing runs but bounced back to winning way under a reat ride by Harry Bannister.  Robbie, as he is known at home, still looked a little green and the more experience he has under his belt the better.  Great for his owner, Steve Bocking, who has been a great sup...

Apologies for the delay in this report!!  After a disappointing first run at Lingfield, Get Your Own redeemed himself at Southwell under a very well timed ride by Harry Bannister.  He was back in trip for this run which seemed to be the key to the win.  He kicked on coming to the last hurdle and won easily in the end.  A great thrill for his owners, who were obviously dis...

It has been a good week here at Trafford Bridge with the horses continuing to run well.     Jonjoela and Kankin ran really well at Market Rasen on Thursday to both finish second.  The weather was terrrible and the ground not ideal but Jonjoela led from the start and only got headed close to home.  She improved on her last run and is sure to give her owners lots of ...

Wow, what a peformance from For Pleasure yesterday at Cheltenham.  He was one of the outsiders of the field but did not run like that.  He went straight to the front as he always and within a minute had a twenty length lead.  Harry Bannister did a great job getting him settled in front and he just kept galloping.  He came to the home turn and the Skelton horse was after h...
