After a frustrating few weeks with the horses not being 100% right in themselves, we were thrilled to have two winners in the last 5 days.  Last Wednesday Looking As You Are, in only her 2nd start over hurdles won nicely at Ludlow under a great ride by Harry Bannister.  Looking slightly green still over some of the hurdles, she toughed it out to win nicely in the end.  Such a thrill when a horse you have bred wins for you, she has been ultra consistent with only being out of the first three once and she really did deserve the win.  Her breeders Annie Fry and David Fitzgerald were both there to see her, it was also Annie's birthday, I don't think she could have asked for a better present.

Yesterday it was Omar Maretti's turn to step into the spotlight.  As he gets older he definitely prefers smaller fields, so the 4 runners who were declared for the 4pm at Catterick were ideal.  With heavy ground being his favourite surface he warmed nicely into his jumping, taking the lead 3 from home he hosed up in the end by 35 lengths with just one other finisher.  Thrilled for his owners, Off To The Races, who have been patient with him all season.  The race he won made it a double as he also won it two years ago.  A great ride by Bryan Carver, who is having a really good season and is becoming part of the the team.
