Kaituna and Has Troke
It was great to see Kaituna River win down at Plumpton for his patient Owners. The syndicate known as 'Money Down The River' are a group of local farmers who all got together and decided to become involved in Racehorse ownership. After his first season with us, Kaituna unfortunately picked up an injury which put him on the sidelines for a season. The time off gave him the chance to strengthen up and he has come back this year stronger than ever. After a promising first run, he cruised to an easy win under Harry Cobden, not our usual jockey but Harry is chasing the jockeys title and you couldn't wish for a better man for the job. It was great that some of the syndicate could be at Plumpton to see his win and the rest enjoyed watching at home with a glass in their hands!
Has Troke made the long journey to Newcastle worthwhile and won nicely for the newly formed Alex Hales Racing Club. He has been a star this season running 7 times and either winning or being placed on 5 of those occassions. He needs soft ground and will now go on his holidays as soon as the weather warms up. Pollypockett and Gone In Sixty will now take over the baton for the racing club as the summer months approach.
