Jack Thunders Home

 It was great for Jack Thunder to win at Stratford yesterday under a super ride by Harry Bannister.  Having his first run over fences, he has previously been a little disappointing but not yesterday.  He tracked the leaders throughout the race, when going upsides the winner around the homebend.  He took the lead, nearly got headed but fought on well to be the eventual winner.  Thrilled for his connections who are great supporters of the yard and for Jack who has got a lovely character.

Many of the winter horses are getting near to ther first run of the season.  Millers Bank, Happy & Fine and Grasse D'Oliverie all went down to Lambourn today for their first work away of the season.  They all went nicely and will probably go down again before they run.  We are still waiting for the rain, I'm sure it will come soon and then probably won't stop!
