Winners!
It has been a busy week with plenty of runners and I am pleased to say two winners!
Last Tuesday we had 5 runners, two at Fakenham and three at Southwell. La Gomera was having her first run after a break and was so unlucky to fall when she was in 2nd place. She was travelling really well and just touched the top of the hurdle. Such a shame as she would definitely have been 2nd. Kankin was next at Fakenham and put a stunning round of jumping in to win by a neck. So thrilled for him, he is very gutsy and trys so hard and for this owners The 25 Club.
It was then off to Southwell, Cokytho ran really well to be third. He has been so consistent all year and really does deserve a win. Poor Harry Gulliver took a horrible fall when looking like he could win. Luckily he came out of it ok, it could have been a lot worse. Finally to end the evening Heiro Sport ran really well, he has been off for a while with injuries so a 4th pleace was a great result.
Thursday saw Nothinelsematters go to Stratford. He had a much improved race on his last outing and continued the trend by finishing 4th. Stratford proved to be a little sharp for him and we will look for a more galloping track next time out.
Friday we took Pollypockett, Gone In Sixty and Our Bills Aunt to Market Rasen. Polly and Toffee were having their first runs of the season for the Alex Hales Racing Club and did not disappoint. Harriet rode Toffee into 5th, he had a good blow and will come on for the race. Polly ran a stormer to finish 2nd, the winner looking well handicapped and I think we just bumped into one as they say. Bill was having her first run over fences and ran a suer race to finish 2nd. The ground had probably dried out a little to much for her and she may well go on her summer break now unless we get more rain.
Yesterday EZ Tiger went down to Plumpton and was having his first run back after a break. He was an absolute superstar and won nicely under a great ride by Bryan Carver. So thrilled for his owner Neil Rodway who has been a supporter of ours for a long time and great that Tiger got his nose in front for him.
A great start to the season, fingers crossed it continues!
