Happy New Year

Boxing Day was a very up and down day with our runners.  Scooter Boy, Crafty Roberto, Ultimatum Du Roy and Isaac Bell all made the trip up to Market Rasen.  Scooter Boy pulled up after pulling his shoe off and standing on a nail, Roy never really got into the race and was pulled up, Crafty ran his usual race and finished midfield and Isaac ran very well to be 2nd and was pipped on the post.

At Huntingdon we had Barenice, Running Wolf and Periquest.  We decided not to run Periquest due to ground reasons, Wolfie ran really well to be 4th and Barenice finished 5th.  Unfortunately the day had a sad end with Barenice finishing very lame and after getting him back to the stables the Vets found he had injured himself badly and we had no alternative but to put him to sleep.  Such a shame for such a young horse with his future ahead of him and so sorry for all of his Owners.  Although we all know that this happens in racing it does not make it any easier and not very nice for anybody involved.

We took Exitas to Leicester on Wednesday and very happy with his 3rd place, he is beginning to really settle and another placed horse for the racing club.

Today Periquest goes to Uttoxeter, he has had a long time off after injury and a clear round is most important.  Tomorrow Shinooki goes up to Fakenham.

Finally we would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and many successes on the race track.
