The last week has been very busy but definitely worth the hectc time!

On Tuesday Running Wolf finally got his chance to race after all of the frost and what a performance he put up at Leicester to be beaten a short head in the Novices Chase.  A great ride by Kielan Woods and Wolfie battled right to the line but just couldnot beat the favourite.

On Wednesday Ultimatum Du Roy and Methag went to Ludlow.  Roy's race was very action packed with lots of frills and spills, again finishing in a very close finish.  This time, thank goodness, we won the battle of the photo finish and another winner for our Landlords!  Great run by Roy and a superb ride by Kielan.  Methag ran well for her first run over hurdles and  in this country.  She was quite keen to start with but did settle, she jumped well and just got tired at the end.  She will come on for the race and a nice prospect for the furture.

On Thursday Indian Native went to Warwick.  She is a lovely filly and was up against some tough competition.  She ran really well to be third and is improving with every run.

On Friday Stepover went to Doncaster and after starting favourite in her last few runs but not quite producing the goods she finally got there and won well.  Great for the Allens who bred her and now hopefully she has won once she can continue in the same way.

On Saturday Duel At Dawn went up to Doncaster for the River Don Grade 2 Novices hurdle.  We were not quite sure how he would run, obviously a hot race and he does still have some maturing to do.  Again he did not disappoint and under another good ride from Kielan he kept on galloping to finishing third.  Great for his Owners who have been patient with him and even better as some of them manage to get an each way bet on at 100/1!!  Off the back of that run he will have an entry at Cheltenham, that will be just in case the heavens open between now and then.  If it was heavy ground there is would suit him perfectly, if the rain doesn't come then he won't go but you have to enter early to be able to run.

Quite a quite week, The Otmoor Poet does have an entry at Catterick on Friday and we may have a couple at Taunton on Sunday.
