A Double

It has been a busy week with runners and all have been running well.

Last week we had Swilly Sunset and Love The Well up at Market Rasen in the same race.  Both horses had been off for a while due to Covid 19 but they both ran well with Love The Well finishing 3rd and Swilly finishing 4th.  They will definitely come on for the race and should be back out again soon.

It was then onto Stratford with 3 runners Hiconic (who was trying to defy a double penalty), For Pleasure and Move Close.  It was going to be a hard ask for Hiconic with the penalty but she is such a tough mare and basically led from start to finish to make it a hatrick.  Really good for her and her owners Golden Equinox Racing.  Next up was For Pleasure who is a bit of a run away but has loads of ability.  He was having his 2nd run over hurdles since lockdown and tactics were to go from the front.  He definitely did that and after 2 hurdles he had a 25 length lead.  Generally horses can't keep that sort of pace up but he managed to and hosed home, winning by 22 lengths.  So pleased for his owners, Sam and Simon Mullaney, who are great supporters of ours and it was the first win for them in their own colours.  Move Closer was having her first run for us since she arrived last year.  She was in the last which was a bumper and did not disgrace finishing mid division.  We will look for another race for her in a few weeks time.

Emily Webb had her 2nd outing since lockdown yesterday at Market Rasen and made a huge improvemnet from her first run to finish 3rd.  Great for her owners and she should hopefully come on for that as it was on ground which would have been on the soft side for her.
