Scooter Boy's Impressive Debut
In the last week we have had a couple of our youngsters run. Last week Come On Harriet had her first taste of a race up at Southwell. She is a lovely filly a with a great attitude. Nick, our Amateur jockey, had the ride and rode a super race to be fifth. She did get a little shuffled back to start with but ran on well and really tried. A good start to her career and she will hopefully build on that.
Yesterday we took Royaume Bleu and Scooter Boy to Towcester. Royaume has had quite a long season and the way he ran yesterday told us he is ready for a break which is what he will now have. Scooter Boy like Come On Harriet was having his first ever run. At home he can be a bit of a lad but he was very well behaved and ran a cracking race to finish 2nd. His Owners were delighted not only by the way he ran but also by the fact he was as big as 66/1 in the market which made for a nice each way payout. He will also go on his holidays now although we will get him some more schooling over hurdles before we turn him away In preparation for next season.
This week Midnight Chorister goes to Kempton on Wednesday, Paddy's Saltantes and Fidelor both have entries at Stratford on Saturday. We will be watching the weather as Paddy would not want to much more rain and Fidelor would want a little more. Then next week it is the buid up to the Aintree meeting where we hope to run Royal Supreme in the bumper on Grand National day.
