Big Jim Wins At Towcester
A great result at Towcester yesterday. Big Jim who was bred by his Owners the Gumbrills Partnership put up a very polished performance for his first ever run. There was only 5 runners in the bumper, the last race of the day, but it was well worth waiting for. Big Jim is huge as his name suggests, this did not stop him galloping from a to b and crossing the line in 1st position a full 9 lengths in front of the 2nd horse. At one stage the 2nd horse was hanging into Jim so much they nearly ended up going over one of the Chase fences but Jim kept his professional head on and went for home. We are so chuffed for the Owners who have been great supporters of ours and it was great so many of them could be there to see his victory.
Today we run Royaume Bleu down at Plumpton. He is going back over hurdles and fingers crossed for a good run.
We will be quiet then until the end if the week when Midnight Chorister goes again to Lingfield to try and improve in his 3rd place last week and Ultimatium Du Roy goes to Newbury.
