Day Out At Royal Ascot
With most of the horses turned out for their summer breaks we are still quite quiet at the moment. We have created a new syndicate with Barenice and all the shares are sold except a 1/16th (anybody interested please shout), he is now out on his holidays. Midnight Chorister's sister is now in work and looking really well. We have a 1/2 share left in her and I think she will be very exciting. She is very grown up and takes everything in her stride (again let me know if you are interested in a share in her).
On Tuesday of this week Alex and I managed to get to Ascot. A really lovely day and the racing as expected was top class. Top Class flat horses are amazing, just their speed and class leaves you in awe of them. It is also really good to go racing and be able to stand back and watch rather than having runners ourselves. We managed to catch up with friends who we have not seen for a long time which was really good, some of whom were going all week, I don't think I could stand the pace.
At home we have the run down to the end of the school term. This means something happening every week, there is either a school concert, Sports Day, Childrens Party or end of year get togethers. All good fun but quite exhausting and I think all of the mums look forward to that last day when they break up.
