Shinooki In Great Form
Since the last blog, touch wood, things have been ticking away nicely. Shinooki has won twice at Fakenham, once on New Years Day where he was favourite and made slightly heavy weather of it and then again at Fakenham last week where the conditions were awful but he seemed to deal with them easily.
Take Two ran really well at Kempton and seems to be definitely back to his old self when being beaten by only 1/2 length on the line. A great performance and he has come out of his race well which is great news. Running Wolf and Ultimatium Du Roy were 2nd and 3rd at Market Rasen last week again in terrible conditions. Royaume Bleu slogged through the mud at Plumpton to be 2nd in the race he won last year, he was beaten by a horse who was carrying a feather weight which told in the result in the end.
On Saturday Crafty Roberto was 2nd in his first chase down at Taunton beaten a neck. A performance we are really pleassed with as he has had some problems over the last year and done well to come through them. Fingers crossed he seems fine after his race and he can go on from that.
Today it is up to Wolverhampton with Seamoor Secret. She has had a break and is in flying form so it will be interesting to see how she gets on.
Other racing this week could be Catterick on Wedenesday or Fakenham on Thursday but I feel the weather may play a hand!
It is quite interesting looking at the statistics for the year so far, out of the runners we have had over 50 % of them have either won or been placed, fingers crossed the trend continues.
