Many apologies for the delay in updating, a crashing computer has not helped the cause!!

Anyway since my last up date we have had three winners and the horses all running really well.

Crafty Roberto was revitalised up at Market Rasen with first time blinkers on and back over hurdles to put in a great victory where he toughed it out right to the line.  Great for his Owners who think the world of him who have been through some ups and downs with him but have come out the other side.

Ultimatum Du Roy seemed much more like his old self to put up a great show at Ludlow to win convincingly.  In the past he has run on heavy to soft ground but at Ludlow that day he encountered much better ground and seemed to relish not having to slog the race out.  Great for his Owners who are our Landlords and since that win he has been second again at Wincanton, much bigger fences there which he did not seem to enjoy quite so much but still looked very happy in himself.

Our latest winner was Duel At Dawn up at Doncaster.  With only three declared mainly down to the fact that Paul Nicholls had a hotpot in the race, we thought at worst we would be 3rd.  We hoped Duel would have improved from his first run of the season where he was 5th and our wishes were granted.  First thing on Saturday morning the Nicholls horse was pulled out which meant only two runners with an 1-12 odds on shot against up the whole of Doncaster thought we would be second.  A difficult race to run but Duel set off in front and stayed there.  He galloped his rival into the ground and I think he got more cheers passing the finish line at Doncaster than if he had won the Grand National (many punters did not want to bet on an odds on shot so had £2 on Duel!).  So pleased for the Owners who have been very patient with him and given him the time to overcome his growing pains last season.

Today Big Jim goes up to Haydock for his first run of the season, there are 14 runners so quite a big field and he will probably need that first run of the season.  Tomorrow we have three at Fakenham Shinooki, Stepover and Running Wolf so a busy day.

Boxing Day looks set to be busy, we will not know until nearer the time who will definitely run but will update beforehand.

Also three new recruits to the yard in the form of Methag, Quarry Leader and The Otmoor Poet.  Very exciting and all look very nice prospects for their new Owners.
