Great To See So Many Owners
The morning of our Open Day was bright if a little breezy and it was a fingers crossed that we did not get any rain. It was great to see so many owners for our annual gathering and many new faces. After a wander around the yard to see the horses in the stables we paraded 30 horses, all very well behaved and looking well in themselves. By this point we'd had a small shower but nothing to make us run for cover and a lovely lunch in the marquee warmed everybody up. A big thank you to all of our staff, Dedi Leech for the catering, Weatherbys for the brochures and Craig Callaghan for the marquee, all making the day run smoothly. We have lots of photographs on the gallery for you to have a look at from the day.
Normality resumed on Monday and preparations for the coming season continues. On Tuesday Missguided had our first run for us and her owner Mr Steve Brown. It was a promising first run on ground which was probably on the soft side for her and she should go close next time out.
On Sunday Dandilion goes back to Bath in the summer sprint seris final. It is quite a hot race but you would not expect anything else with a good first prize of £13 000 and fingers crossed she can continue her good form for The Golden Horse Racing Club.
