It seems an age ago since the Grand National but only just over a week.  A super race as usual with an outsider winning from a very small yard which shows you dont have to be one of the big yards to win the biggest race in the world!  Royal Supreme ran in the

bumper which was the last race on the card for the Aintree meeting.  Being that meeting it was obviously a high class field and I think although he ran well for the majority of the race his weakness showed through and he will definitely be a lot stronger horse next year.  Saying that he came out of the race fine and he does hold an entry at Towcester on Sunday.  The winner of the Aintree bumper was the horse who Scooter Boy came 2nd to at Towcester which is great news for his form and as he was only beaten 4 lengths by him we have hopefully got a very nice horse on our ands with him.

Seamoor Secret had her first run at Wolverhampton on the same evening.  She was very well behaved and although if you look at the results they do not look that impressive she did run very well but was hampered badly and kept getting blocked, she could possibly have been second or third if this had not happened.  She goes again on Saturday to Bath.

On Thursday Periquest went to Towcester in the bumper.  This was his 3rd run, we wanted to run him again as last time he ran he got very wound up and used up most of his energy before the race.  Although he was a lot better he was still quite anxious but finished well to run into seventh place.  Paddy Brennan who rode him said once he learns to settle he will definitely pick up some races.  He now goes on his holidays.

Other runners this week are possibly Ultimatum Du Roy at Haydock although we do need raim, that is on Saturday and Paddys Saltantes and Royal Supreme at Towcester on Sunday.  Easter Monday we plan to run Come On Harriet at Fakenham and Bobbisox at Chepstow.

Last week at the beginning of the Easter Holidays we took Philippa and George to Disneyland Paris for a couple of days.  Luckily we managed to get a really good deal, which helped as everything is very expensive out there.  The children had a super time, met Pluto and Mickey and thoroughly enjoyed all of the rides.  Everything is very well done and it definitely takes you back to your childhood.  It is the sort of place you an go ack to in a few years time and enjoy it all over again.  We have already done one Easter Egg Hunt, another one booked for Saturday and then a huge amount of chocolate I expect on Sunday!
