Busy, Busy, Busy
Its been a busy week already and it is only Wednesday. On Sunday we took Periquest to Market Rasen for his first run of the season and first run over hurdles. It was quite a hot race and we thought he may need the run but he jumped very well and put up a great performance to finish fourth. Very pleasing and looking forward for more to come with him.
On Monday Allnecessaryforce went down to Kempton. Last time out at Doncaster he got stuck in the mud and the trip was probably slightly long. This time the all weather going suited him much better but he could probably have done with further on the sounder surface!! He will now go hurdling, he has schooled well at home and we are looking forward to his first outing.
Yesterday Ogaritmo had her third run over hurdles, she led for threequarters of the race but then got swallowed up by John Fergusons odds on favourite and a few others. She will now get a handicap mark and will enable her to compete against horses of her level.
Tomorrow Running Wolf goes to Ludlow, again a very hot race but we have to run and this will be his third run so he should get a handicap mark next week as well.
Alex, Danny and Nick have gone off to Lambourn to gallop Minella and Issac, it will be interesting to see how they have come on since last week. A very wet morning here and I should imagine the three of them will be glad to dry off on the way down in the lorry as they got soaked working horses on the grass gallops this morning.
