Last week we had runners everyday of the Aintree Festival, all of the horses ran well and all came back in one piece.

On Thursday Millers Bank ran a blinder in the Betway Hurdel to finish 3rd at odds of 80-1.  He is turning into a fabulous horse and definitely looked like a true professional against hot competition.  He has had a great season and done his owners and the yard proud.

On Friday we ran Fpr Pleasure and Huntsman Son.  For Pleasure was following on from his 3rd at Cheltenham and took off from the tapes in usual style.  This time he did not get the lead he usually gets but ran to the line and ended up in fifth.  Cheltenham took quite a lot out of his and he did really well to run the race he did.  He has been a superstar this season and again done himself proud.

Huntsman Son was in the Topham over the National Fences.  He was in a great position all of the way round and was hampered by the horse in front of him not far from home, unshipping Kielan into the rails.  Such a shame as we was running a big race but both he and Kielan were home safe and sound which is the main thing.

On Saturday, Fagan missed out be two to get into the National and so took his chance in the race before, the Betway Chase.  He again ran a blinder, he got a little tired towards the end but finished up 7th which was by no means a disgrace.

Great for Rachel Blackmore to win the Grand National, being the first woman to do so and also really good news for racing.  The fact she won has attracted a lot of attention to the sport in a good way.
