Big Jim's Big Win!

Since our last update we have managed to bring our tally of winners up for the season with thanks to Shinooki (again), Midnight Chorister and on Sunday a superb win by Big Jim.

Shinooki did really well to win two on the bounce, the second win under a penalty although we managed to claim off him so that helped.  He seems to have really come back to form over hurdles and seems in great heart with himself.

Midnight Chorister had not run for a while mainly due to the fact that the ground has been so bad.  He simply does not go on heavy ground and so we have had to wait around for a while.  It was definitely worth it as he hacked up to win really nicely at Southwell.  He had his usual pilot on board in Kielan Woods who knows him really well and after jumping the last upsides he galloped away uncontested.

Out biggest win of the seaosn came on Sunday at Ascot with Big Jim.  He has been in fine form at home and although the Ascot race was quite a hot contest we thought it would be worth giving it a go and it definitely was.  After hitting a bit of flat spot Kielan got after him again and jumped himself up into contention and went onto win by a couple of lengths.  A great win for his Owners, The Gumbrills, who are a large group of friends and very supportive.  A great team effort as well from everybody at Trafford Bridge and days like Sunday make it all worth it.

This weekend we run Stepover at Chepstow, quite a hot race for her but she seems well and we want to give her another one or two runs before the end of the season. On Sunday at Market Rasen we run Ultimatum Du Roy and Midnight Chorister again, both seem well and we would be hopeful of good performances again from both of them.
