Since Isaac's win on Sunday we seem to have been very busy with runners in every different direction.  On Tuesday we took Running Wolf, Minellaforleisure and Shinooki for Catterick, a long way to go but we had to travel to get the better ground.  The day started off well with Running Wolf coming out best in a 3 way photograph to win by a whisker.  A great result and one we dedicated to Ron Linnett who was a great friend and a share holder in Wolfie and who recently lost his battle against cancer.

Minella was next but unfortunately came down at the 3rd fence, he is fine but does not seem to handle the bigger obstacles very well and so may well go back over hurdles now.  Shinooki was having his first run since we nearly lost him at the beginning of September, he was travelling really well but just got tired and pulled up two from home. He will really come on for the race and we look forward to him running again soon.

Midnight Chorister went to Leicester on Thursday, he again ran really well to finish 4th.  He has come out of his race in great form and we will hopefully find a race for him over Christmas.

Gilzean went up to Wetherby on Saturday in the gales, which apart from being a little hazardous in the lorry the wind also dried the ground out and went from being sloppy to sticky.  Gilly needed it the other way around but as usual tried his heart out to be 3rd.

Yesterday Periquest went to Huntingdon.  Last time out he was 2nd and seemed to meet a well handicapped horse, this time he went off as favourite and did not disappoint when winning another photo finish.  He jumped really well and deserved that win.  His owners the Fortune Hunters were all there to see him and Lorraine Langford who used to own Iconoclast, who was one of our stable stars a few years back, was full of emotion over Peri's win.  If you get a chance have a look at our Facebook page (Alex Hales Racing) and you will see some of the photographs.

This week we run Big Jim on Wednesday, possibly Crafty Roberto and Ultimatum Du Roy on Saturday and Salut Honore on Sunday.  Fingers crossed the horses keep their form and we can get another winner!
