It was a great week for Alex Hales Racing last week.  On the saturday we took four runners up to Market Rasen, Hiconic, Swilly Sunset, Say Nothing and Sun Rising Hill.  Hiconic was a very short priced favourite but got pushed back to second place by a very nice horse of Amy Murphy's.  She did nothing wrong and we will freshen her up and she will be out again soon.

Say Nothing ran really well to be second, she was leading over the last but got caught on the run in.

Swilly Sunset had blinkers on to help him concentrate but he didn't take them at all and finished mid division.

The superstar of the day was Sun Rising Hill ridden by his owner, Ben Brackenbury, who was in the last the race the bumper.  He ran a very tactical race, pulling him out of the pack on the home straight and to win easily.  Such a thrill for Ben and his parents who were there to support him.  They put so much into their horses and the win was very much deserved.

Tuesday we made the trip up to Sedgefield with Just Marvin and Musical Stardust.  We hope Marvin was going to make it two in a row but he got badly hampered by another runner in the home straight which took away his chance.  He did really well to stay on his feet and get 4th place.

Musical Stardust ran her race and tried really hard as she always does.  She finished mid division and it has now been decided to retire her ti become a mummy!!

Friday was a very long trip up to Hexham with Sea Prince and Methag.  Methag ran first and led all of the way just to getting beaten on the line by a 66-1 shot.  We felt so sorry for her as she deserved the win!  It was great to see her running well again.

Sea Prince was having his first run over hurdles which is always a worrying time.  Kielan again partnered and led from pillar to post winning very impressively.  So happy for this owners who are10 strong syndicate of friends.  It made the trip very worthwhile.
