Isaac Wins At Muddy Leicester

It has been a very busy last couple of weeks with the horses again running really well and finally we got our winner with Isaac Bell on Sunday at Leicester.  He is such a superstar and trudged through the mud at Leicester to put up his second win out of two runs for the season.  So pleased that his Owners could be their to see him and a thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all despite the gale force winds!

Prior to that the horses have been again very consistent with Ultimatum Du Roy, Periquest and Vaillant Creek all finishing 2nd.  Big Jim and Midnight Chorister 3rd and Stepover, Crafty Roberto and Coco Flower 4th.  Out of our last 12 runners 9 have been placed which is great going, we just need to turn a few of them into winners.  We have also had some unlucky moments with Ogaritmo looking to be placed when taking a heavy fall at the last at Southwell (she was very stiff but ok) and Minellaforleisure having his second run over fences being basically brought down at the first at Kempton.  That was very frustrating not only for him but for the Owners who had nearly all managed to get their which they are not able to do often.

Tomorrow we run Minellaforleisure, Running Wolf and Shinooki up at Catterick.  It is a bit of a trek however the ground everywhere else seems to be going to heavy with all of the rain we have (I was just watching Lingfield on the TV and that looked like a ploughed field) so we have had to travel.  Thursday we hope to run Midnight Chorister at Leicester, Gilzean will either go to Chepstow or Wetherby on Saturday and Periquest will probably go to Huntingdon on Sunday.

On the home front the really good news is that Danny (our Head Lad) will hopefully be able to bring his baby daughter, Ruby, home from hospital on Friday.  She has been seriously ill in the Radcliffe for the last three weeks after picking up an infection to the extent that the doctors thought she would be make it but thank goodness she is a tough little lady and has pulled through.  Fingers crossed her health continues to improve and we send her all of our best wishes.  It has been a very emotional few weeks for Danny and his Partners Sue and we are so happy for them that things are looking up.

Of course with Christmas coming Bunny and George are getting very excited, Day 1 on the Advent Calendar was a chocolate soldier, probably not great for them to have chocolate at that time in the morning but Gran bought them their calendars and we didn't want to upset her!
