Good Day Had By All

 Yesterday we had our Annual Open Day, the sun shone, the horses behaved and everybody had a really good day.  We had around 100 Owners and guests, after we paraded 27 horses everybody sat down to a lovely lunch provided as usual by Dedi Leach.

If you compare this year to last year we have a lot of new horses in the yard and everybody commented that the yard had a real buzz.  Always good to have new horses but we must not forget the older horses who have done us proud over the years and will go out to war again this year.  We managed to get a new syndicate together for another new horse to the yard in Running Wolf.  He has only so far run on the flat but will not go Novice Hurdling and maybe have another run on the flat beforehand.

Over the next few weeks we hope to have a few horses out and those due to run are Take Two, Allnecessaryforce and Crafty Roberto. Crafty has not run for nearly a year after being struck into on his first run last year.  It was very touch and go for a while so it will be very exciting to see him back.

Alex is off to the sales again this week as we have a couple of orders to fill, hopefully we can do better than we did last week when we came home empty handed when the lots we were interested in made far to much money.
