Spring Clean Time

As it is very quiet now with many of the horses turned away for their summer break it is time to have a bit of a Spring Clean.  The Power Washer is flat out and paint brushes at the ready.

In the last week we have had a few runners, Bobbisox ran the race of her life to be 2nd at Chepstow at the mighty price of 33-1.  We had been thinking of retirement for her but she must have read our thoughts and will run again in the next few weeks.  Come On Harriet was disappointing at Fakenham, mainly because she was very keen early on and basically burnt herself out.  If she had run anything like her previous run she would have definitely been in the first three but I think she got completely overexcited.  At least we know the ability is there for the next time.

Paddy Saltantes ran a great race at at Southwell in quite a hot contest, he seemed to enjoy himself in the front and will be much more competitive when he can get a handicap mark.

Today Fidelor goes to Towcester, a much hotter contest than before but a nice local track for his Owners to go to and there should be a good gang in attendance.

Tomorrow Alex is off to the sales at Newmarket, there a few we have our eyes on so fingers crossed the trade is not overly strong.
